civilian-claim1967· Cussac, France
On August 29, 1967, a 13-year-old boy and his 9-year-old sister reported four small black beings rising into a hovering disc in a field near Cussac, France. The local gendarmerie investigated the same day, noting a sulfur odor and scorched grass at the site.
The children's accounts were taken separately and proved consistent. The case was included in the March 2007 public release of French government UFO files by GEIPAN, and generated significant public interest when the GEIPAN website crashed on the first day of the release. The Cussac encounter is referenced in French UFO literature as among the most credible childhood-witness cases.
