The Department of War released this footage on September 18, 2026 as DOW-UAP-PR159, a digitization of a 16mm print of Kodachrome color film shot on a handheld Bell & Howell Auto Master camera. Newhouse submitted the film to the U.S. Air Force shortly after filming it, and it became one of the visual cases reviewed by Project Blue Book, the Air Force program that investigated UFOs from 1952 to 1969; the film's limited detail and lack of fixed reference points prevented a conclusive resolution. From the 55-second mark the print switches to unrelated footage that appears to show a sewing-equipment demonstration, which suggests a composite or reused print, though the available record does not establish how or when the materials were combined. Records submitted with the film, released separately as DOW-UAP-D102, state that the footage was originally paired with mountain scenery from Idaho, which this digitization does not preserve.
