Brief
On May 11, 1950, Evelyn and Paul Trent photographed a metallic-looking disc near McMinnville, Oregon. The University of Colorado's Condon study catalogued the case as Photographic Case 46 and found the witness account and photo geometry internally consistent. William K. Hartmann's analysis did not prove an extraordinary craft. It did conclude that the available geometric, physical, and psychological factors were consistent with the Trents' report. That bounded finding is why the McMinnville photographs remain among the best-known civilian UFO images.
