United States Northern Command submitted this unidentified anomalous phenomenon report to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), releasing 2 minutes and 16 seconds of infrared footage captured by a sensor aboard a U.S. military platform in 2020 over the western United States. Per the Department of War's timestamped video description, the sensor zooms and pans to track an area of contrast starting at 00:28, an auto-tracking reticle locks onto it from 00:34 to 00:57, and the object leaves the sensor field-of-view to the left of the frame between 01:11 and 01:34.
