A local law enforcement officer submitted 27 seconds of rear-camera footage from a commercially available cellular device to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), recorded in Colorado in October 2023. The officer described the phenomenon as "silent" and as featuring "red, blue, and green flashing lights." AARO's video description says the camera increases magnification and holds an apparent light source in the top third of the frame for the full 00:00 to 00:27 run, and that AARO blurred the bottom half of the first 2 seconds to protect the privacy or other protected interest of a U.S. person or commercial entity. AARO's comment cautions that phone autofocus and automated image processing can distort the apparent shape and motion of distant subjects at high magnification, and the case is catalogued as unresolved.
