On November 13, 2024, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee held a joint hearing titled 'Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth,' at which Luis Elizondo, retired Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet, former NASA official Michael Gold, and journalist Michael Shellenberger testified about alleged government concealment of UAP programs.
Shellenberger presented a 12-page whistleblower report to Congress alleging the existence of an active classified DoD program called 'Immaculate Constellation' involving non-human intelligence. Elizondo testified that covert crash retrieval programs existed. Gallaudet, a former NOAA administrator, stated UAP are real and called for greater transparency. The hearing was chaired by Representatives Nancy Mace and Glenn Grothman.
