On July 26, 2023, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee held a hearing at which former intelligence officer David Grusch testified under oath that he had been informed of a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse-engineering program, while retired Commander David Fravor and former Navy pilot Ryan Graves corroborated that UAP encounters were routine and underreported.
Grusch, who served as the National Reconnaissance Office representative to the UAP Task Force, stated he interviewed approximately 40 witnesses over four years. He testified that so-called 'non-human biologics' were recovered from craft. He declined to detail several claims publicly, stating they could only be addressed in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility. Graves described years of daily sightings over restricted airspace with no official response.
