DOW-UAP-PR115, Unresolved UAP Report, Gulf of America, 2019
A Department of War release of a U.S. Air Force UAP report to AARO, built around 8 seconds of infrared video shot from a U.S. military platform over the Gulf of America in 2019.
The U.S. Air Force submitted this unidentified anomalous phenomenon report to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), consisting of 8 seconds of infrared sensor video recorded from a U.S. military platform in 2019 over the Gulf of America. The footage shows an area of contrast near the center of the sensor field-of-view from 00:01 to 00:02, partially obscured by the heads-up display, then the sensor zooms and pans to track it from 00:03 to 00:06 as it flickers in the display, with no content from 00:07 to 00:08. AARO explicitly states the description is informational only and should not be read as an analytical judgment, investigative conclusion, or factual determination about the event's validity, nature, or significance. AARO's comment offers a prosaic mechanism: when a tracked source's temperature is similar to its surroundings, it can blend into the background or appear to flicker due to auto-gain control filters adjusting dynamic contrast.
