U.S. Indo-Pacific Command submitted a report to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) consisting of 1 minute and 16 seconds of infrared video from a sensor aboard a U.S. military platform in 2024 over the East China Sea. From 00:01 to 01:16 the sensor pans to track an area of contrast, keeping it generally centered in the frame; from 00:12 an auto-tracking reticle surrounds the area of contrast. The Department of War states the video description is provided for informational purposes only and should not be read as an analytical judgment, investigative conclusion, or factual determination about the event. The case remains unresolved, and no machine-readable text or analytic finding accompanies the footage in this release.
